Nothing much to eat, but there is still a grub sticking on the wall.
Soon owlet will recognize what it is. Content to return to the perch for now.
That is a large foot off a prey, in comparison to the owlets foot.

Young owl still hasn’t ventured out to the edge. But, seeing sibling and parents all around, so close but so far. Wonder will it be a leap of faith, on the path unwinding or many near attempts and retreats.

3 of 4. Very busy times for the adults. Keeping track of the three. For now, youngest owl keeps watch too.
2 of 4. Yesterday owlets looked light gray/bluish colored, today they are wet and not so easy to spot, giveaway is when they move and the branches sway a little.

Great news, with two fledged, the youngest was perched early and had a few feedings.
Owlet #1 fledged 32 days old.
Owlet #2 fledged 31 days old.
While typing this, there is an owlet in the tree near the nest box.
Best bet I think is to keep going with the closest real time photos I can, then after fledge pick from the last few days and add them in groups after #3 has hopped up or flown out. It will be noted and marked when the nest box is empty, then I will go back.
Very early morning hours, chilly temps, weatherbug says 48° and the cam is showing significant rain. Youngest owlet is doing very well although I imagine he/she is missing the others warmth and comfort. Owlet doesn’t know anything else, but he/she is experiencing change.

Youngest owlet is alone, but warm and dry.
Heavy rains and high hopes the young owls are sheltered as well as they can be.
About 11:56am Luna visits the perch minutes before fledge.
Excellent climbing skills already.
Owlet will sleep good tonight. Not so much sleep for Luna and Noche.

At least one more, cam op is doing great keeping up, with the dropping from trees, hopping and climbing. They are having an amazing day. Twice I’ve seen two owlets together so far.

What a day, too funny, hops n running, they fly very well too, hard to get a clear photo in flight.
