  1. Will add three photos from minutes before Luna’s arrival. 1 of 3.

As fledge time quickly approaches, many photos will be added.
Random clusters as many as I can get. But, they may not flow is a sequence all the time, like now.

Luna exit the nest box but lingered on the perch for a few minutes.

  2. About 8:55am Luna had arrived. She perched for a bit and entered the nest box. I didn’t see any prey. She began digging around and 2 of the 3 owlets stared outside, uninterested in food.

Currently, 9:05am she’s still in the nest box and appears to have found something previously cached. Everyone’s head and tail are low.

  3. Owlets are 28, 27 and 26 days old today. Fledge is normally 4-5 weeks.

They are very active and looks like we will have another event filled day. Hops and jumps, they occasionally scratching the walls with their talons and using their beaks to attempt to lift up to the perch.

I was hoping for this, all three lined up and in order, from left to right are #1, #2 and #3.

  4. A warm evening and the owlets rest. They had a full day. A lot of wing flaps, hopping, attempts at climbing. Oldest made it to the perch today.

  5. In the event anyone doesn’t know how to go back, I have enclosed a photo to help you.

You click older comments and scroll, then you can keep going back.
    Good luck and Enjoy.

Young owls fledge at 4 to 5 weeks. These owlets are 27,26 and 25 days
    old today.

  7. Owlets have beautiful eyes. What a day.

  8. All three are there! It is hard work planning your great escape.

No sooner had I considered adding this photo, two are awake and raring to go.

  9. Image 2 of 3. Luna’s head is down, two owlets (3/2) are interested in food, the third is staring outside (still).

  10. Another group of three adding from Luna’s last visit. Again, there are so many and I narrow it down, twice. The times and events are not in sync, but there’s so much to share, it seems easier to go in groups.

1 of 3 from the last feeding, when Luna arrives at 3:54pm. Enjoy.
