1. Quiet moment. Beautiful posturing of Luna.

   

2. Honorable mention from last evening. Owlet had bird feather in its beak.

   

3. Beautiful morning for the owlets, do I hear rain?
   Time for only one photo for now.
   Oldest owlet has the prime spot today, so far. Food cached in the corner. Got a glimpse of all three faces.

   Looks like another fantastic morning and these self feeding owlets are growing up fast.

   

4. Attempt number One, the mouse is now deceased. Owlet made a good attempt at swallowing it..

   

5. Upright, dozing off. Getting stronger. Big life events every day.

   

6. Exciting to see them eat, shredding prey, they keep the eyes closed when going in for a bite.

   Readying for another round.

   

7. Self feeding.

   

8. Youngest and another feast on the bird. Totally self feeding.

   

9. Incoming prey, bird. After a few minutes owlet began to tug and tear at bird/prey and two owlets are having great success self feeding.

   

10. Sweet, but just wait until food arrives, all owlets for themselves. They are adorable.

    

11. Prime spot, they are pushing and shoving each other. Big lessons.

    

12. Owlets aren’t getting the self feed so well, yet. But prey is alive, they didn’t see it. Well, they didn’t react to it.

    

13. Visible prey, mouse drop… and it ran away, it is alive and inside the nest box.

    

14. Noche (suspect, based on deep hoot) Owlet bites his foot.

    

15. About 8:50pm, same live action. Will start writing it down and make multiple post to save space.

16. Another morsel, pretty sure #2 got it. They are pecking and having minor fighting for food, big life lessons are happening. More photos… They are amazing.

17. At 8:27pm and 8:29pm Adult enters, youngest got a piece of frog. Owlets are all having hissy fits and pecking the cam hard. The self feeding smaller morsels are creating new behaviors in owlets.

18. Fantastic photos to add later, but seems I missed live action, youngest is having a hissy fit. It’s time…

    A fantastic Day.

    

20. The innocence of a young owlet, whose only worry is… Hmm. I can’t think of any. They are well fed, safe and dry. The new self feeding behavior will be quick to get used to… Took me a few visits last night to catch on what Luna and Noche were doing.

    

21. Beautiful day. Luna perches. Hearing her whistle calls and her talons. Owlets react to her movement.

    

22. Currently weatherbug reports 46° and it’s already 7:26am.

    Luna keeps her owlets warm. At 6:30am one of the owlets was standing underneath her. The owlets head was hidden in her feathers.

    

23. About 12:10am another food drop, looked like youngest may have had something.

24. Weatherbug says mid 40’s again tonight. Huddled owlets look secure.

25. Cute lot. These new events may signify everything is changing and quickly. It seemed different when food drops went from morsels to mice and all of it is self feeding, that’s big.
