Luna’s wings are low and creating a canopy, mantling effect over her owlets. Surely she keeps them warm and protected.
Three tiny owlets. Feeding time.
The beginning of a nice long feeding. Interesting that owls have a fixed eye socket, seems looking down is not so easy. Pretty Luna.

Noche returned 10:12pm with what appears to be a frog. Looked spotted and slightly different from the usual toad. Luna tossed it to the cache pile. Upper left corner.
Saw all three but pixels weren’t cooperating. Fantastic!
Tiny owlets are strong and cute.
Trying to capture all three may take a while.
Coming soon, will catch up with the days that I missed.
Info and stories to come.
As I type the owlets are fed again/still and tiny chirps are too cute.
Feeding began just after Noche left… a nestbox with five owls inside!
Three tiny faces peaked out and Luna fed them.
Noche visits 9:35pm and Luna ate quickly before he flew off, couldn’t see the prey, it was eaten before he left.
Soon after his departing, the owlets were fed. Luna watched him fly out and her attention quickly returned to her owlets.
Panning, getting a better view, fantastic! TY Look forward to catching up.
Gin…Only you can see your email on this site.
Owlets get active and Luna’s rocking. Already they want out from under! Eyes should be opening in a few days! Looking forward to how the adults react to multiple owlets. Will be interesting and a full house.
Hi Gin,
Andrew has posted all the information available about Sol. He shared the photo of the owlet on the ground. These are wild n free owls who live in a good sized wild area. We all imagine Sol is well n good. We were fortunate to watch the feisty owlet hatch, grow and fledge. He/she is free to roam and like so many other cams, the owlet Sol’s life is now a mystery,
Well for my email not being published, it’s right here in plain site !!!!
Was asking about Sol from last year
Luna’s fiesty owlet is really squirmy and Luna adapts by slight shifting,
Hi,
I would like to know what happened to Sol from last year. I know he
fledged but would like to know if he survived to your knowledge. I love
this nest and am happy it’s successful.
Gin
Luna’s owlet is very active! Luna moved prey around n nibbled at something in her talon.
Owlet image from admin FB video. Sweet!
Cooing to her little one during feeding. Yep!!!
Luna feeding her owlet.
We have a hatch.
Three eggs ?!!!!!
Computer issues… Will get caught up soon I hope.
Managed to hear hooting about 2:40am and Luna flew off. She came back in approx 10 minutes. Noche didn’t visit the nest box.
Noche visited about 1:23am and delivered a small bird.
