Luna, keeping an eye out.
Missed live action tonight. Luna rests… But it’s nightime. Her eyes are closed but surely she’s listening. Tried to post before midnight but didn’t make it.
Pretty as a picture.
Waiting for owlet, hopefully soon. Eggs are 32 days, 29 days and 26 days today.
Warmer and sunny, Luna pants to cool off. High hopes we get a peak soon!
Owlet, come on little one!
Attempting to swallow prey.
No signal then stuck screen but about 11:41pm Luna called out, then she had a food drop while screen froze. Whatever it is/was she’s determined to swallow it whole, she’s hungry.
Luna’s ear is directed outside, let’s see the eggs!
Inspecting the egg.
Brilliant lighting. Waiting for a peak…
Hatch Watch!!!
Pretty Luna in the sunshine, her life is going to change even more and really soon.
May be when the sun warms the nest box, she will move around more and we can have a good look.
Sunshine on her belly, now would be a good time… Luna?
Test. Eastern time is 9:31am. UStream date and time stamp is off. Date is good, but clock is off by an hour.
Comments are good timing. Photos are ahead 1 hr..
Hatch Watch:
Eggs are 30 days, 27 days and 24 days old today.
It is time for a hatch, may be a little owlet today?
Orville Todd Middle school weather station report:
(hi kids, anyone watching?)
Chilly. Currently, 36° and going to about 51° for the high with winds, it’s going to feel chilly today, warming up in the sunshine.
Luna’s feathers. A very different view.
A very different display of feathers.
Squinting to find a pip.
Nice! Saw cam panning! Luna is alert and listening for her Noche, safe to say.
Squinting to find a crack…
Luna had her outing about 8:02pm to 8:12pm. She must have a regular routine, stays about ten minutes, still leaving about at 8 pm nightly.
It’s about that time… she seems to have an ear and her attention to the way outside.
Who cooks for you, says Luna at 6pm. Is she calling on her Noche? Twice!
Appears to be a Comfy, cozy day from our end. While Luna prepares for her little owlet. I imagine a little one is close to or has begun its fight to break free and hatch.
Luna has been chirping. I may have heard an egg chirping at least twice now. About 4:18pm and 4:21pm. a high pitched fast chirping.
High temperature in the nest box area 51° and low tonight 33° also windy with clouds.
