About 10:47pm Luna flew out and returned 11:00pm. Could hear faint calling sounds outside, but didn’t hear Noche’s distinct hoot calls.
She’s listening for her Noche to visit and deliver.
I hope to catch live action, been missing him the last two nights.
He did visit at midnight, this morning and she flew out to follow him.
Unsure if he’s on a changed schedule or my timing.
I’m back! If he visits I will catch it.
He had a fairly regular visiting schedule, if it’s changing it will be noted soon.
Same time frame, upper cam view.
She’s back from her outing, 8:07pm.
Wonderful!
Luna’s evening outing begins at 7:54pm
Luna in the sunshine.
Pretty Luna basks in sunshine, rolls her eggs. A fine day so far!
Luna leaves abt 12:12am and returns about 12:25am. Third egg looks behind the right egg…
Noche visits 12:07am didn’t see food drop or him entering. The nest box.
Wait, I see the time, don’t mind if I did miss her outing, it’s later than I thought.
Riding the highway watching one eye… Pretty Luna
Hope I didn’t miss her outing!
Luna, head down, turned over her wings during a little preening time. Must have felt good.
Looks like she’s gotten out a few more feathers.
Currently, panting a little.
Stunning Owl, a fantastic morning, she’s listening to a squirrel chatter in the distance, but no worries.
Nest box area, temps will be about 71° on an uncloudy day, winds
picking up, Luna should have a very comfortable day.
Beautiful owl, preening.
I haven’t seen Noche all night, he arrived about 5 minutes ago n hooted repeatedly outside. Luna whistled to him but he didn’t enter or drop food that I am aware of. . I have been watching with one eye tonight, may have missed him, but only recently heard him.
A short outing, now she waits for her Noche to deliver.
Luna’s three eggs. She will be back soon…
She’s out at 7:41pm. Eggs look good!
Fantastic!
Gular fluttering is a term used to describe when she pants. She vibrates the muscles and bones in her throat.
Currently 50° heading for 67° in the area. Humidity is 97%.
Luna is warm and panting to cool down.
This is one special family of owls. No new new there.
Eggs update:
Egg #1 is 20 days old.
Egg #2 is 17 days old.
Egg #3 is 14 days old.
Warm evening, Luna panted occasionally, especially after eating. Pretty feathers.
Frog is gone, slimy bits make her beak sticky. Is that Noche reflected in her eye?
