We will hopefully be up soon. We had a issue with a brand new camera so we are waiting for its replacement to arrive. We still have internal cams so we hope to have them streaming soon. We also had a squirrel try to take up residence, so we have some nest cleaning to do.
Happy New Year friends. My iPad shows a white screen….
Hi and on the winter solstice… great! Thanks Andrew.
We had a visit from Luna and Noche last night. 😀
Also, that is quite a dusting of snow! OK, still checking in for official news, lol.
Hello Andrew!
Had to search, looks like a Northern Flicker Woodpecker. Pretty!
Fantastic work on the box and cams, looking forward to the upcoming season with highest of hopes.
Happy holidays and the happiest new year to you n yours.

Pre-Season Update
We have been working to get everything ready for the upcoming season. We haven’t had any visits in a few weeks, but that isn’t unusual. We have added a lot of bedding material for extra support and warmth. Check out the attached picture to see the difference from last year. The new cameras are in and ready to go. We will have three views this year (All in HD). The exterior and interior view from last year and a new view from the interior that will be capable of looking at the entrance and inside. We have also added a perch to the exterior of the box and Luna and Noche have already been using it. We will go live with the broadcast after the 1st of the year so keep checking back for any news. From our families to yours, we wish you a very happy holiday season. See you all in a month or so.
Inside the box.
It’s not an owl but we did have a new visitor.
Checking in… About two more months, counting down to 2015 nesting season watch. High hopes!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. A snowy, wet Wednesday.
Hi everyone,
I imagine the leaves are past peak in the nest area, but imagine it was beautiful. Reminds me of watching the trees come to life in the spring. Each day, a bit more green. Now the leaves fall.
The barred’s and black vultures nesting begins in about 3 months.
So, I’m calling it the 100 day countdown to Nesting Arrival Watch!
Great News! Thanks Andrew.
Luna and Noche have been stopping by about once every 2 weeks. They hoot, check the box out and leave.
Hi everyone,
Wondering about nest box visitors, could the cooler temps be bringing anyone inside?
Brilliant! Thanks for the updates n photos.
Looking down
🙂
The new angle
Luna?
We had visits the last few nights and I believe it is Luna and Noche. Here’s a sneak peak at the new cam angle. We still have the old interior and exterior view too. The new interior view pans/tilts and zooms. We added more nest material too. We can’t wait for February.
Good luck n high hopes that you have a safe n successful visit to the nest box. Can’t imagine the owls would be aggressive now. Maybe a fantastic sighting again!
I enjoyed going through the older comments today.
The recent visitor looks like “you know who.” Made my day!
We have plans to work on the box this weekend. I’m hoping to look then.
Hi Andrew,
Have you inspected the box lately? Wondering if you found any pellets.
They are very interesting to dissect.
