1. Mini isn’t cooperating here.

2. Looks like she’s eating the mouse still. Interesting she’s shredding it.

3. Panning zoom out 7:17pm. I’m on mini n can’t see if she finished eating the prey/mouse.

4. ***Correction: again, one of those days, at 5:50pm IR cam is already on and she is perched in entrance.

5. At 5:59pm IR cam is on and she is in entrance way.

6. Trying to piece it together, the timing of her flying off and returning with prey. Is it too early to assume the male dropped food off for her?

   Fascinating, I heard an owl hoot outside of the box. She stopped eating and is listening. One faint “hooooot”

7. She is shredding prey. Beautiful eyes wow.

8. I am fairly certain there is prey in the nest box. Right talon, but covered. I did manage a couple screen captures. A foot and tail were visible. Loud crow types seemed to possibly chase the owl as it returned fast and was intently staring out.

   Beautiful heart shaped feathers under the wing.

   In 2 minutes time owl is flying fast into the box with prey. May be she went after the mouse, but I see it is definitely a mouse.

   3:50pm She begins nibbling at prey!

9. For the record, 3:26pm Color is back.

   3:33pm Seems she had flown off. Returns in two minutes with a suspect mouse. Possibly chased by crows. A lot is happening.

10. 3:19pm IR cam came on.

11. She is there, just passed 4 hours now that she’s been perched in the entrance way… and counting.

12. 12:40pm Panning nest bowl area.

    1:56pm She moved up and over. Now only the tip of her tail is visible, top right cam view. Occasionally, completely out of view.

    Assuming she is still there, haven’t heard any sounds indicating flight. So far, in my experience with the sounds, there is a knock when she enters and/or exits.

13. Best described as a 3-note whistle call. She’s called out about every minute. Maybe 6 times in 5 minutes. It is soft, pretty sounding and so far unvarying.

14. Panning at 10:31am and 10:33am. Female didn’t move from perch.

    11:58am I believe she made a short call, twice. Very nice cooing sound. Perhaps her mate is near.

15. 10:27am She hops up and is perched at the entrance way. Her shadow and tip of tail are visible.

    The wrens are giving her there opinions.

16. 9:03am The wrens are back. Flying in front of the entrance, owl is not intimidated at all, lol. A bluejay close by grabbed her attention for half a moment.

    Seeing quite a few bird shadows going by. Seems they are becoming aware of the new tenant.

17. Great timing getting the shavings inside, made the nest box move in ready.

    The sunshine moves across her face, a stunning image of her eyes and eyelashes aka bristles or simplified feathers.

    I am happily surprised at the visibility with the bright sunlight shining in.

18. 8:17am Carolina wrens are back and they are not happy. Heard them land and they are chattering away at the owl. Earlier in the week both wrens entered and completely rearranged the nest after the female owl had shimmied out a nest bowl area, they filled it all in.

    Owl peaked with one eye but isn’t phased by them.

    After a couple of minutes the wrens seem to have flown off, it’s quiet again.

19. 7:47am she gave a slight hoot sound and fluffed up a bit.

    Sunlight peaks in and will travel across her, that should be warming to her.

20. When I checked on the box at 11:44 P.M last night, she was in the box area and pecking at the materials there. She stayed for a couple more minutes and then flew to the top of the box where you could see her breast(that will be censored). She was gone in a couple more minutes

    And here she is again on March 25, appearing to be very tired, probably after a night of hunting. At one point she laid her head against the left wall of the box and couldn’t hold her eyes open. She is still there at 7:20 A.M.

    She’s a lovely owl.

21. 7:17am color cam and she is gorgeous!

    6:52am She is laying down. Different behavior today. She flew in and layed down. She is tilting her head listening outside, but not moving, will she have an egg today. How fantastic will that be.

23. Her eyes are closed. This is fantastic to see Live.

24. Looks like she is settling in for a nap.

25. She looks gorgeous, look forward to seeing her true colors in the daytime. She’s resting. Being still as a picture, but the clock is running, lol.
