   Luna is shimmying a lot, hasn’t been able to settle, a lot is going on underneath.

   I decided to repost this link, because I had concerns and was reminded by an experienced, well informed person, that there is still time for this egg, several days even.

   Luna has left egg #2 out occasionally. She did seem to incubate eggs under two different areas. One egg tucked underneath and the second egg being placed (more exposed) in the chest feathers. Being more exposed, will delay a hatching. The past month has been colder temperatures also. Egg on the outskirts will be a delayed hatch.

   We’ve seen that a lot with these eggs. Luna had the eggs separated and to delay a hatch is common with owls, apparently!
   Luna can tuck this one completely under and get it hatched! She has left the egg on the outskirts as recently as a couple days ago.

   Today is day 36. She still stomps and coos and I believe she reacts to sounds and vibration within the egg. The owlet sleep with its face against the egg quite a bit, cuddled near it. I believe owlet hears and feels it also.

   7:23pm, Luna stomped once. 7:26pm two stomps. Cough/grunts…
   7:33pm shimmying… Maybe tonight!

   There is plenty for them all to eat, that is for certain.

10. A meal or two or three in reserve for Owlet or two if the latter should happen. Still hoping the egg is viable.

    

11. Owlet innocence. Eyes are so close to opening day.

    10:37am Looked as if she lifted the egg and lightly dropped it twice.
    Saw her head movement and a tiny impact sound. She is assisting still.

    Owlet is too cute, chirps, eats well and bonds with Luna.

    Mindful of egg #2. Luna continues to encourage a hatch, she may sense a vibration or sounds still. Time will tell.

23. I had so many pics open, missed a good one,but now it’s awaiting moderation. I won’t post a spoiler alert.

24. Deleting and discovered this photo. Mystery solved but now that egg appears to have a dark top and may be the owlet is taking a crack at that shell.
