Oh no! I was so fascinated watching the owlet try to snuggle up to the egg that I forgot to take a pic. Luna left and the baby was very active and totally uncoordinated. Very funny. The egg still looked intact.

He was there and gone so fast, I missed him. Saw Luna’s reaction only.
Seems since hatch he is much quicker and doesn’t linger around.
Not a lot of hooting between them either, which usually makes it easier to catch the live action.
2:21pm and 2:34pm, May 2. Both images at this time show Luna assisting egg #2 yesterday.
8:56am Luna was attempting to assist egg #2 again today. She was holding egg, tugging at it gently. Could hear it rolling on the floor.
Her head tucked under wing, same as yesterday…
Today is day 33 for egg #2. Still on Hatch Watch!

Calling to Luna. Getting louder, stronger.
Owlet was rolling about, but made great attempts to get right back up.
Successfully stood a few times and even without the eyes open, seemed to know which direction is out!
Yesterday, appeared Luna was surely assisting egg#2.
Today as Luna had left, egg #2 is in full view and appears intact.
Owlet was searching and calling for Luna. Good view of ear and look at those legs, getting stronger and as always too cute.
Yesterday afternoon Luna appeared to assist egg #2, but this morning reveals still only one delightful owlet!!!

Suppose she is awaiting a food drop soon. It is after 8:30pm,
it’s time.

After a short respite, Luna is back to the business at hand. The same behavior at exactly the same time yesterday. I think we are very close. Could be wrong.
