1. Nice! She doesnt look content yet/

2. I had wondered if the chirping was Luna, or did the chirping trigger her to eat? Didn’t feel it was her making the sounds. That was when Patti mentioned owlets can chirp from inside the eggs.

3. I am usually good about writing times, but this morning I did not. Sidetracked maybe.

   10:05 am Luna pulled out furry prey and was eating, the chirping was minutes before that.

4. Hi Fran, Isn’t that great? I thought I heard it early a.m.
   Had no idea this was even possible, until today.

5. I listened to the recordings but I couldn’t hear anything around that time frame. It doesn’t record every minute so that could be the issue.

6. No pips or owlets yet. The last photo has a dark spot. We will keep watching! TY

   The video of owlets chirping gives us an idea what to listen for.
   Hope we can hear Luna’s egg chirping too.

9. Chirping owlet eggs video. Over 7 hrs ago, I noticed chirping, commented, Luna is talking to her eggs, sweet, in fact, it may have been the eggs communicating with her.

12. Andrew, that is a prize winning capture of the squirrel on Luna’s box. Squirrels are not really brave, just foolishly impulsive.

    I’m wondering what the discolorations on one egg are, seen again in your captures. Perhaps nothing more than something transferred from Luna’s prey.

    Concerned about the wood shaving on Luna’s eye. She did manage to shake previous shavings off.

    Thought the squirrel is looking for it’s relative but I see a long tail. I will add one more pic.

17. Partial view of one egg at 7:49 A.M. this morning. The dark spot is a feather in shadow, I believe. Luna has been preening vigorously this morning.

21. Funny you mention that, I commented earlier that Luna was making soft sounds. One note sounds… oh exciting! Thanks so much. myself n others can listen for it too!

22. I haven’t heard it here but sometimes you can hear the owlet cheep inside the egg. Something to listen for.
