Luna enjoying the sun at 11:53am.
Sounds like light rain on the nest box, there is a chance of isolated showers there. Hear raindrops I believe.
Luna is awake, peaks outside the entrance. Stunning eyes, I’m looking forward to catching up on their activities.
Luna calling out repeatedly this morning, more insistently around 7:25 A.M. The movement of her mouth and the slight heave of her body as she drew in and expelled air were the only indications that she was not sleeping. Once in awhile she would open her eye just to a slit. Did not hear Noche.
Wonderful Spring sounds of birdsong in the background.
Now that I’ve said that she opened here eyes for a short bit.
Sleeping well, she’s facing the entranceway.
11:43am, Luna has changed her position but is still calling. Hear a lot of birds in the background making alert noises…… Noche might be there. Blue Jays in an uproar.
correction: AM not pm.
Noticed Luna, earlier and at 9:10pm and after, making a cooing like call in this position. She is still doing it as I type.
This really caught my eye this morning as I was watching Luna resting.
Loved the way the sunlight highlighted a variety of abstract shapes and textures and muted colors. A work of art. What a wonderful aid to meditation.
Luna was resting, she’s facing in.
7:32 she turns her head and stares outside. Sun comes up she’s turned towards the sunshine.
Beautiful Luna is resting well. Safe and secure, caring for her eggs. Ahhhh.
Beautiful Luna, she’s turned her face towards the entranceway, she does enjoy the sunshine.
An aspect of Luna’s beauty is certainly her plumage.
I thought it fascinating to see her in such a position.
She’s closed her eyes again. Resting wonderfully, I hope to follow her lead. It’s 2:09am and she breaths so slowly, resting and conserving energy. Staying warm n keeping the eggs safe n warm.
Dogs sound alerted, Luna peaks. Awake at 2:00am and come to check on our owl.
Luna up close and beautiful at 3:12 pm.
She rolled the eggs and I saw two. Looking more promising everyday. She’s so pretty!
Luna is resting well. She’s arranged a nice pile of wood chips in the corner.
Luna in the sunlight. Beautiful.
Her eyes are so fascinating. The feather lashes, I had no idea, the nictitating membrane has a will all its own.
Two eggs it is and so we wait!
Many birds are chirping and singing, Luna has closed her eyes again, sound like a good idea to me. Later then.
Luna is awake, listening, A duck is calling, Very early on a Sunday morning.
Luna sleeping the “sleep of the innocent” until Noche announces his arrival.
Fran, except for the impending fate of the little mousie, that’s a great picture. Look at those eyes. Incredible capture of a Bird of Prey. I left a response on Forum.
Rat for dinner. 🙂
