5. Yes, Fran. We have a nice collection on Forum. Just came in for a break from yard work and camera was back. Caught picture of four hungry mouths. Two in middle seem to be sleeping. Definitely the six.

   Your welcome. You have some very nice screen captures from today! There are 6 nestlings. I posted a screen capture to Forum that was taken at 2:04pm today. It doesn’t show all 6 because 2 of them are behind the parent but the parent is looking directly into the cam. as if confirming 6 nestlings. lol

8. Thanks, Fran. Bet the nestlings have changed quite a bit. Can’t wait to see them again. There should be at least one more by now, possibly two if egg was hidden by feather.

9. Blue screen for me too, Carol. Cam back on now but jumps a little now and then.

10. Seeing only a blue screen for most of yesterday and this morning. Is it just my computer or is there a problem? Thanks.

11. See lots of movement in the nest with hungry nestlings waiting for parent’s return with food at 5:58 P.M. Only see one egg – with possible pip. Lovely feathered nest bowl may hide another. Not sure.

12. See a number of hatchlings at 9:40 A.M. At least one egg still intact. Parent has been back and forth, feeding. Also removed egg shell.

14. We have hatchlings first observed at 7:15 A.M. Can see at least two, but may be more. Will post to Forum.

15. Fran, that is a lovely picture of the female’s head. Thanks for posting it to Forum.

    We should have hatchlings at any time now. The incubation period is 13-16 days normally, and this would be the 16th day for the four eggs laid on the morning of May 28. A fifth was laid the following day.

    I’m personally not sure of the date of the sixth egg. It had been concealed by the large feather that makes up most of the nest. The camera was down for maintenance for a couple of days, and I didn’t notice it until June 6. Does anyone know when this one was laid?

16. There is a nice photo of the Parent on the nest that I took yesterday, June 11th. Posted to the Forum. The color is beautiful.

17. Observed a sixth egg today. Had been concealed by feather. Must have been laid when cam was down for maintenance.

18. We have a fifth egg this morning. Female has been back and forth several times.

19. Four eggs observed this morning. Will post picture to Forum. We want to watch here for the “nursemaid’ behavior by extra Tree Swallows, either last year’s young or others.

20. Hi Bob. Glenham NY (guess that’s THE Mike) reports on SS (5/27) that there are two eggs. Fran will be posting her picture from yesterday to Forum and I’ll post the one from this morning. More excitement. Also pictures of the Swifts and Bluebirds.

    At the moment, I have five Bluebird nestlings in one of my BB boxes. My Tree Swallows haven’t returned yet. They usually nest in an old Bluebird Box. Really looking forward to all of this.

23. I see nesting material and a feather. What’s happening with this nest? Anyone see adults or eggs? I see movement at the left, but can’t make out what’s there. 10:35 PM

24. Our friend, Mike, has a camera that has been streaming live video on a chimney swift nest for several years. Video is expected to be up on this site on it’s own page this year soon, along with tree swallow and bluebird nests. 25. Since finding this sight I was curious what a chimney swift is. It is a beautiful little bird. Sort of looks like a cross between a brown sparrow and a falcon. Basing this on internet photos. What lovely wings.

    I would like to learn more and be able to notice and identifying the differences between a swift, tree sparrow and a blue bird. Right now, they all are quite similar to my novice eye. Thank you for adding this cam and I look forward to seeing them Live someday.
