  1. At just after 5AM pretty Roxy exits the box. At 5:32AM she returns. Excellent view as she re-enters the box. A bit awkward incoming a bit wobbly, yet, easy to notice that she’s been very mindful of where she puts down her feet.

Thanks for the additional cam view. A very nice surprise.

  2. Yes, a brief outing, three wonderful eggs in view. It’s chilling and windy.

  3. Evening, the eight o’clock hour approaches and her mind is on other things, will she have her usual outing?

  4. Pretty owl, she is so curious, stretching and looking outside. While she was stretching to peak out
her brood patch was visible for a short bit. Wonderful.

There is hammering sounds and also maybe a flicker woodpecker, too.

  5. Roxy’s eggs arrived 3/13, 3/16 and 3/19.
Today, her first egg is 23 days old.

    Incubation lasts 28-33 days.

  6. She didn’t like the motorcycle sound, interesting reaction. Similar to owlets, open beak, gesturing. Neck movements sort of forward.

  7. Pretty Roxy seems youthful and so curious about everything. I watch her alongside of Luna and there are behavior differences, from female to female and couple to couple.

Luna, a suspect squirrel visits, the wind whips and she’s attentive but not worried. Roxy rubbernecks and wants to see more.

Couple to couple, still stumped. Luna receives multiple food drops in the evenings and it seems Roxy fends for herself.

All of us learning by comparison!

  8. 3/19 8:03PM
    3/21 8:03PM
    3/23 8:06PM
    3/26 2:19AM*
    3/27 8:43PM
    3/28 7:52PM
    4/01 8:20PM
    4/03 8:01PM

Still have not seen her Draco. But, these dates and times are when she exited the box for short trips that I have seen. I assume most evenings in the 8-9PM hour she possibly hunts and relieves herself. Since, doesn’t deliver food drops that I have seen.

  9. Relaxed with wing laying down.

She was gone for a bit at 8:20PM. Three eggs looking good.

  10. Caught her returning to nest box. Don’t know how long she was out.

Feathers sticking to her beak says that her beak is wet and/or sticky, fantastic!

Roxy has beautiful eyes, she looks content.

  11. Tonight, about 9:30PM her Draco is nearby calling.
She answers but did not leave.

He is not dropping food for her yet as far as I’ve seen. She flies off on occasion and I hope she has successful huntings.

  12. Today,

Curiosity towards something or someone outside, she stretched her neck and looked out, too cute.

About 8PM she flew off for an outing.

  13. At least three times through last night and the wee hours of this morning, her Draco visited.
He hoots and calls to her, but doesn’t sound as if he gets too close to the nest box (yet.)

She cooed and responded to his calls and ended up flying out. Was it possibly to greet him? Seems to be just that.

They have different calls and sounds from Luna and Noche. The sense of bonding is there.
But, he isn’t providing her with food drops, that I am aware. I hope that the amount of time she is outside she gets to eat.

  14. How many times can I say pretty owl? At least one more time today.

Recent activities, She has left in the evenings, around 8:00PM for outings. On occasion if I wake and check, she’s been out around 3:00-4:00AM for short trips. Her Draco visits but doesn’t enter the box as of yet.
I have heard him nearby, hooting and monkey calling. However, he hasn’t yet visited the box that I am aware of. High hopes he comes around soon and delivers her food drops inside the nest box. Will be great to see him!

  15. Pretty Roxy.

Notice that she has pulled even more feathers for her brooding patch, from egg #1 to egg #3.
A warmer spring day, sun shining on her box.

  16. The Owl Box of Glenham, NY, with Roxy and Draco has three eggs:

    Eggs arrived 3/13, 3/16 and 3/19.
As of today, her eggs are 12, 9 and 6 days old.

    Incubation lasting 28-33 days.
