  1. Out of sequence order, but all photos are from the same time frame.
    Beautiful!

  2. Wondering if they clear out older prey due to flies and things.
Although the owlets clear the cache on their own too.

  3. Over about ten minutes the cache was nearly gone and then he/she flew out with a bird.

  4. Clean up time, can’t say who but one of the adults nearly emptied the cache last night.

  5. Smaller owlet isn’t as eager yet to consume prey whole. Still prefers shreds at feedings when food is larger. Feisty owlet too, squeals, hisses and bites.

  6. Daytime food drop yesterday, several ducklings were delivered to the nest box.
With regard for the ducklings, but it was jaw-dropping to see the owlet consume prey that size.

  7. *** on May 9, 2016, 7:18pm comment, mouse may be mistakenly described as a bird. Will search other photos from that time and adjust if necessary. Photo dated 4/27/2016.

  8. cont’d. Last photo from the full house visit. What a fantastic moment to witness, I still remember how it felt to see them all together, Live.

When pixels permit and when visible, I do add food drop info, when no comment is made, there either was blurry pixels or no view of it.

    Full house, rare moment.
Moments after food drop, he enters and watches as his owlet is fed…

She kept her tail up the wall at times. Instinct and habit of nesting in tree trunks, they are used to small areas and this comes easy it seems. Interesting behavior!

Cast out egg shell, waiting to see owlet.
