  1. First food drop, frog #1 Also first time this season I’ve seen him enter the nest box and they were together.

  2. At 8:51p.m. she flew off and quite possibly took the frog with her.
A lot so fast, photos to come.

  3. Food drop #2 frog was squirming and she stared at it for half an hour, then just carried it up to the perch.

  4. Food drop, nice! He enters and drops off a frog. In the past, Luna hesitated to eat frogs, but took it gladly. Photos to come.

  5. Flew off/left nest box at 7:03p.m. and returned in at 7:43p.m.
    Staring intensely out the entrance.

  6. Beautiful. Posting two photos from less than an hour ago. Before she left the eggs. Unsure if she’s perched or flew off. 1 of 2.

  7. Well, As I was typing, she leaves the eggs. Fantastic to see two eggs.
Closest estimate to egg #2’s arrival time was between 2:50AM-6:50A.M.

  8. Windy day and pesky crows had her on alert. Close by and shadows could be seen flying by and she chattered her beak. Altogether at the same time as wind whips the nest box.

She remained still and interesting how instinct gives her the know how to remain still and ready
for what she needs to do and she knew to remain still.

Have some beautiful photos to add. Waiting to see both her eggs!

  9. She may have been perched, was out of view when she quickly dropped herself into the box to cover the egg.

  10. Stretching, trying to get comfy maybe. Odd stance. She had chattered her beak quite a few times today. There were crows close by, being too pesky. She looked ready to have at it with the crows.

A lot of hooting today. Who Cooks For You and a series of deep 8 noted hoots.

At 6:51p.m. both adults were outside. Hooting calls to each other. Last evening at about 9:00pm monkey calls.

  11. Fantastic hoot calls!!! Who cooks for you AND. A series of eight deep toned hoots… 3:11pm
    Lasted about 3 minutes.

  12. Many more feathers added. As I got pic she entered quickly and spun around, clicking her beak.
    Pesky crows. 1of 2. pics.

  13. Beginnings of a brood patch, pretty soft feathers are scattered around inside. She will pluck her soft downy type feathers to be used in the nest box. Good looking egg!
